NORTH TEXAS (April 22, 2026) — Spring is here, and The Salvation Army's Dallas Women's Auxiliary welcomed in the season with an afternoon of fashion, fellowship, and charitable giving. The organization’s highly anticipated signature fundraising event, the annual Fashion Show & Luncheon, was held on April 21 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. The Salvation Army’s Dallas Women’s Auxiliary welcomed dedicated donors, partners, and supporters to raise vital funds that help programs dedicated to combatting poverty, addiction, and homelessness in local communities.

This year, The Salvation Army Dallas Women’s Auxiliary celebrated its 35th anniversary and invited emerging designers all over Dallas-Fort Worth to submit their original designs for the annual Fashion Show & Luncheon’s first-ever design contest. Winning designs were showcased in this year’s runway fashion show in front of nearly 700 guests, including community leaders, press, fashion enthusiasts, and philanthropic supporters. Additionally, all designs submitted were available for purchase at the event’s clothing sale, with 100% of the proceeds helping to support The Salvation Army of North Texas. The winner of the inaugural emerging designer contest was Salvador Medina, whose designs won first and second place overall.

Hosted by Event Chair Katherine Coker and Honorary Chair Lisa Troutt, this year’s Fashion Show & Luncheon included a seated lunch and New York-style runway show featuring designer labels generously donated from Dallas’ most notable closets and boutiques. Patrons were able to shop couture fashion at The Chic Boutique or purchase the runway items through a silent auction, with all proceeds supporting The Salvation Army.

At the event, The Salvation Army Dallas Women’s Auxiliary honored members that have dedicated their time, leadership, and hearts to serving those in the North Texas community facing poverty, homelessness, and addiction. Dallas Women’s Auxiliary President Kimber Hartmann and founding Emeritus Auxiliary member Margot Perot honored Hancock with the namesake Margot Perot Service Award. Gene Jones was recognized as the Legacy Award recipient, and the Love in Action Award was presented to Marilyn Spencer.

“We are so thrilled to have celebrated the annual Fashion Show & Luncheon this year alongside our generous advocates, partners, and donors,” said Major Carolynn Webb, area commander of The Salvation Army of North Texas. “Each year this is a remarkable event that joins together so much of the North Texas community in the name of service. We’ll be hosting our annual After Sale this upcoming weekend and invite those who were unable to attend to come out and make a lasting impact in North Texas in the best way: shopping!”

On Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, North Texans are invited to attend the Fashion Show After Sale at 9216 Harry Hines Boulevard. The highly anticipated annual shopping event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature an array of gently and never-worn women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, as well as shoes, handbags, and accessories at highly discounted prices. All pieces have been generously donated from the most coveted closets and boutiques in North Texas.

Since its inception in 1993, the Dallas Women’s Auxiliary’s Fashion Show & Luncheon has raised more than $18 million for The Salvation Army of North Texas.
