The Salvation Army Cooling Stations Offer Relief To North Texans
The Salvation Army of North Texas offers colling stations to North Texans looking to beat the excessive hot weather.
With metroplex temperatures in the triple digits, cooling off can be a matter of life or death.
The National Weather Service is declaring an Excessive Heat Warning for DFW until 9 p.m. on August 19. As heat index values of up to 111° are anticipated, finding a place to chill is essential.
Thankfully, the Salvation Army is opening its doors to bring relief.
Fox 4 KDFW reported that eleven cooling stations have been established in Dallas, Denton, Collin, Tarrant, and Ellis counties.
